Witney Roadrunners has been in existence since 1985, and has always had a Constitution, but never had any Disciplinary Guidelines. As a sociable, friendly club, luckily there has never been a need to refer to any, as any disagreements have been resolved personally, quickly and amicably.
However after discussion with England Athletics, they advise that we as a club, and club members, are vulnerable without any such guidelines.
Consequently we shall be introducing a set of guidelines, as proposed by EA, as soon as they are issued.
This has to be via an Extraordinary General Meeting, which will be arranged as soon as possible.
In the meantime, a set of guidelines is provided below. These are cloned from several sources, and cover most likely scenarios.
NOTE…these are not part of our Constitution, and therefore not enforceable. They are purely for reference until we have EA’s proposals and an EGM has been held to adopt them.
