Christmas is here, and so is Covid! So it is was a big disappointment to cancel the last 2 Club sessions, including the lights run and the opportunity to wish everyone “Happy Christmas” so this is it, HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!
Hopefully we will all be together for the next round of Cross Country, something to look forward to! We’ll need to provide a marshal for that event, so please do keep an eye on Spond as usual…
The new league races are out, and as always, lots of comments about which races should or shouldn’t be in. It is a very difficult time trying to please everyone, and include favorite races. I feel we have struck a good balance and hope everyone will embrace the league and race against other Clubs and each other. It is the intention to retain our GP series trophies so these races will take on an extra importance as they come up , and we will have a big promotion and push closer to the time. This also goes for Mota-vation and the County Races.
We have tried to achieve a balance, we are a running club and a very successful one, the aim is to continue that success, to be seen as the best running club, but not to lose our inclusivity, and the support to ALL our runners.
Finally, this is the last newsletter till the New Year, so keep a look out on Spond and for the first newsletter of 2022 to keep up to date with what is happening on the running/Covid situation.
