Witney Roadrunners compete for a number of different internal trophies and leagues each year. The details and rules of each are detailed below.
Every year members of the club vote for the most improved runner in the various categories.
Danielle Basson Memorial Trophy
This trophy was introduced in 2011 after the very sad death of Danielle who was a very active and popular member of the club. This is a special award given to the unsung hero/club person of the year who has made an outstanding contribution to the club either in the current years or over a number of years. This person does not have to be a club member, for example they could be a friend of the club who may have marshalled at the Witney 10 for many years. The candidates are nominated by club members before the November committee meeting where the winner will be decided by the committee.
John Rose Shield

This trophy is awarded to the man and woman who have achieved the fastest average mile time over 5 miles, 10K, 10 miles, Half Marathon, a 15 mile or 20 mile race and a full Marathon over the 12 month period running from the 1st November to 31st October each year.
Snowdon Trophies
The Snowdon Trophies are awarded to the first man and first woman to complete the Snowdon Marathon each year.
Most Improved Newcomer Trophies
This is awarded to the most improved man and woman in their first full season, 1st November to 31st October, as a Witney Roadrunner. The candidates are nominated by club members before the November committee meeting where the winners will be decided by the committee.
It’s time to vote!
