Our first Club “session” took place on Thursday, and went really well, everyone was well behaved, stuck to the guidelines, and enjoyed the evening. We had a total of 30 runners, we hope to up the number this week.
A big thank you to Lyndsey for sorting Spond and Regina for her continued input into all things technical. It has taken us quite a while and lots of meetings to put it into place, so thank you to all the committee for giving up their time.
Following last Thursday’s successful trial, I am keen to push on, so here is my proposed next step.
Following our Tuesday effort session last week, and after discussions with Graham Le Good and Bertie, we want to open the effort session to anyone that wants to come.
The session will be Indian file running as we have done before. We will sort the groups out on arrival, depending on the numbers, much as we have always done. The fasted group will go first and there will be plenty or space to move to the front of your group to maintain the social distance.
It will not suit everyone, and I respect people’s choice and decisions on whether to participate.
An invite will be put on Spond this evening, please indicate if you will be attending or not. This is for track and trace and also to gain information on Spond and how well it is working. You cannot just turn up and run, as we have to have a register.
Please follow the guidelines,it is also advisable to bring and wear a facemask/buff which can be taken off once we start.
I look forward to seeing you.
John MaC, Chairman.
