Well done to everyone who took part in the sports hall competition on Sunday afternoon. We had a great turnout and team performance, leaving the club in a very strong position with two fixtures remaining.
After three events the results are up and the standings are as follows:
The U13 (Girls & Boys) are in a strong position in first place.
The U15 Girls are narrowly holding on to the top spot in the age category, helped in the last competition by having sufficient numbers to field a parlauf, and a relay team, earning valuable points towards the total.
The U11 (Girls & Boys) are doing a great job in 2nd place overall.
In order to maintain this we need a good turnout in the final two competitions. Lots of people means lots of cheering and encouragement for all, and a great team spirit. Let’s continue to be the loudest we can and show the other clubs how it is done.
Well done to the following athletes for achieving personal best performances; Thea & Edie in the U15 speed bounce, Lacey, Lottie, Mercy & Jess in the U13 speed bounce, Felix in the U13 triple jump, Elena in the U13 long jump, Skye in the U13 shot put and Davidson in the U11 speed bounce. I hope I haven’t missed anyone.
A special mention goes to Alex, who unofficially broke the club record in the U13 Girls 2 lap race in a time of 25.2 seconds. Unfortunately as the race was started with a whistle, rather than a gun this does not stand as an official record, but congratulations on a great run.
