WITNEY ROAD RUNNERS

Motavation 2019 – Race 5 at Stratfield Brake

Published on 4th August 2019 by web editor

The final 2019 Motavation race will be held on a new off-road course at KRAC’s home at Stratfield Brake, Kidlington. Full information about the location and course map are now posted on our website

http://kidlingtonrunning.org.uk/race-5-stratfield-brake/

Please note that we cannot offer parking at Stratfield Brake itself except for those marshalling – extensive parking is available at either Oxford Parkway station or the Water Eaton Park & Ride (£2). Please do not park on local roads as a courtesy to residents.

The pavilion at Stratfield Brake is more luxurious than at any of our other venues, with plenty of changing and shower facilities, and all toilets indoors. We will have sole use of the first floor club room all evening, where the bar will be open and presentations will be made after the race (as well as registration for those who have lost/forgotten their numbers).

The course itself is predominantly on mown grass, but partly on gravelled footpaths, with slightly uneven grass transitions. Overall, the course is flat – despite the apparent hills indicated on Strava, the actual elevation variation is a maximum of 13 feet!
